Nearly 20 years ago, Jim Sayih and Anthony Shriver began a friendship inspired by the courage of Jim and his son Michael. The determination to be an example of inclusion and love brought Jim and Michael to countless 100-mile Best Buddies Challenges across the United States. The joy they have found participating together with Michael in tow has shown the Best Buddies community that anything is possible!
Today, this continued spirit has inspired our new team celebrating Michael, the mission of Best Buddies, and the incredible strength of inclusion. We are riding as one team Special Compass – Best Buddies. Together we will tow our buddies 54 miles celebrating the gift of people with all abilities.
For our first year riding together as a unified team, we would like to dedicate our Dolphins Challenge to Best Buddies’ friend and leader Mark Wylie. We are fighting his cancer as a team filled with hope and love.
