Special Compass is participating in The Miami Foundation's Give Miami Day on Thursday November, 16th 2023. Together we will build housing for the "Differently-Abled". Six years ago at a Disability Convention me and other families shared our concern about who will care for our differently-abled sons/daughters when we pass. The Need was clear; a plan to build adaptive, affordable, barrier-free housing for them was born.

Since 1998, The Annual Family Café has brought Floridians with all types of disabilities together for three days of information, training, and networking each June. With a great range of individual breakout sessions, a packed Exhibit Hall with dozens of vendors, and a series of special events including Keynote speakers and The Governors’ Summit on Disabilities.

The Crossing For Cystic Fibrosis is a long-distance endurance paddle challenge and international championship race that takes paddlers 80 miles across the Gulf Stream from Bimini in the Bahamas back to the Florida mainland. The event was inspired because of the incredible health benefits of the Ocean for those living with cystic fibrosis, a terminal lung disease. Travis Suit's daughter Piper was diagnosed with CF when she was four years old.
