My name is Jasmin Suarez and I love being a part of Special Compass. I remember the first time that I put on a life vest and went on a raft in the ocean. It was my first triathlon on September 30, 2018. I was kind of scared but my Power Buddy gave me courage: she swam, biked and ran with me. Everything turned out good and I never want to stop doing races. Special Compass is a lot of fun to be a part of and I met a lot of wonderful and amazing Power Buddies. The Power Buddies help us differently-abled athletes run, bike or swim through a finish line and we receive pretty medals. I love my medals from my races and feel proud of myself.
