It was a shining moment for the 25th annual Weston Rotary Run for Tomorrow hosted by Cypress Bay High School. Over 1,000 runners had a choice to compete in a half marathon, or 10K or 5K races. Afterward, there was the popular City of Weston 1-Mile Family Walk and the Commission Cup Challenge that featured Weston elementary school students and their families.
The Rotary Club of Weston teamed up with the city of Weston and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital to put on the event to benefit charities and nonprofit groups like Reyna Group Homes, Women in Distress, Honor Flight, Children’s Harbor, Habitat for Humanity, Special Compass and more. The Rotary Club has raised over $2 million to assist the various programs.
